Hello i have purchased a classic predator resin kit of the great narin

Big question
What is the best way to stick the peices together including dreds??
Please help me!!!

Where were you able to find one?  Is it original or recast?

You will want to assemble it using an epoxy style adhesive or super glue.  If you want it to be extra sturdy, install metal pins between pieces (e.g. between arm and shoulder).  Put the dreads on last.  If you try to install them and then paint, they will obscure other areas of the kit.  Enjoy!  This is a great kit once installed and painted.  It is the best Predator representation to date in my opinion.  Even better than the P1 maquette made by Sideshow Collectibles that was supposedly made from 3D scans of the Stan Winston Studios suit.

Thanks for repling, i purchased directly from narin it is a great kit. I have used super glue and have not used the pins. But it seems solid. However i dont think the dreds will stick. I have used a cheap super glue i will look for better brand. When ive painted him. I could do with a few tips on painting with an airbrush, and what paints to use so if you or anyone knows any tips help!! Haha.

I would suggest that you look at some of Joe Dunaway's work at www.modelzone.com for reference.  It won't give you the paint colors, but you should be able to get the general idea.  Is Narin still selling his Classic P1 kit on his website?

Not sure whether I'm breaking forum rules or not, but here's a link to get you started on model kits in general. It's good to look up to guys like Joe Dunaway, but they've been at it for decades and it's unfair to yourself to judge your work based on theirs. As long as you have fun building and painting it, I don't feel it matters!

Good luck!

As for assembling the kit, I would recommend using magnets on all the joints. Rare earth magnets are the best bet. They require a bit of work but are best if you wish to make painting it easier. I tend to use superglue for the most part, painting certain pieces before attaching them. I usually glue the torso and legs together first. Then I almost complete the paint process before attaching the arms and accessories. If you use pegs your drill holes have to be pretty snug. You don't want the limbs falling off if they aren't a snug fit.

Yeah thats a good way. I have stuck the arms on thats the only mistake ive done, my first time on a predator so they will only get better!

I did a painting article in Amazing figure Modeler magazine on painting Narins Encounter kit which is basically the kit you are building only with a bigger dio and Arnie figure. Its in issue #50 and you can still order online. i know this post might be late to your project, however happy to help out.
