king of the nerds

Thread necro, anybody watch this? I watched the first episode, I think it's got some promise.

Wife and I have watched it so far, and it's not a bad way to spend a few minutes on a winter evening after shoveling snow. We watch very little TV (aside from sports and two other shows), so it's easy to fit it into the schedule. The contestants seem likable, and the challenges so far have been entertaining.

In my opinion, the show is awful. It's as if a bunch of executives got together, made a list of every mainstream geek stereotype they could think of, and then found the most shameless people they could to fill those roles.

I'm saying the show is awful.

Then again, I suppose I've always disliked "reality tv".

My point. Executives hand-crafting "drama" and staffing their list of players with the most shameless people they can find = reality TV.

Hah, I totally got your point, Dan. And you're 100% correct. I shouldn't have expected anything else!

Oof... the fist season was rough, but this is just torture. I started watching this because I thought this was somewhat "our people." These are NOT our people... :(

The best thing about the show for me is Robert Carradine's complete indifference. Every time he's on camera I imagine him thinking, "Jeez, how did my career come to this?" :lol

Does anyone else think Zach is off of his bipolar meds?
