Kill Bill: The Bride's katana

Ordinarily, I wouldn't post something like this, but this was a particularly good show. The folks over at Baltimore Knife and Sword are good friends of mine, and I was able to help make the steel that went into the Hattori Hanzo katana from Kill Bill. This video was particularly good at explaining the process, too, which as a bladesmith is important to me. Anyway, if anyone wants to know more about steel making or practical sword smithing (I will admit that I am far more knowledgeable about Northern European arms than Eastern) I would be happy to answer any questions!

(As an aside, no, I don't represent either Awe Me or BKS)

Cheers!
