Kenobi D+ New Trooper Armor Design

Hey Guys, I noticed in the trailer there is a shot leading from the back of a Storm Trooper that pans down to his hand. You can see the new design for the back plate/butt plate/thigh on the trooper and parts of the clone trooper armor being blended in with it.

my bad, I think the droid is based off the clone trooper and the trooper has a redesigned back plate.

I think the editing in the trailer is kind of misleading here, I think the shot of the hand is of the droid from behind, perhaps after the trooper leaves the room

yeah, the legs on the droid have the same design though as the clone trooper thigh piece on the back side. The same U shape cut out, so maybe it's either a nod to the CT design or some old republic droid.

The back plate on the trooper though looks like a complete redesign from the straps to the square box cut out.

Even if this isn’t him, I definitely think we’ll see Ben in some sort of disguise

Absolutely. And Disney is certainly saving his reveal as a Jedi for a big moment in the show.

The Aurebesh on the droid says "NED." Instead of "Roger, Roger," he'll say "Okilly Dokilly."
