Superstar Justin Bieber is in talks with Fox Studios to play the lead character "ASH" in the upcoming live action movie POKEMON: MASTERS. With his debut film "Never Say Never" opening today to packed houses and thousands of screaming fans, some who have held line for hours to assure their seats, Bieber's interest in the project can be traced back two years when he was first approached to bring the baseball capped best friend to Pikachu to life. "It's a glove fit" says Neil Levy, producer. "Justin is a huge fan of the show and his audition blew us away. He arrived wearing a baseball cap just like Ash wears and started by telling us that Ash was his hero growing up. We'd be lucky to get him."
The only thing standing in the way of Justin landing his dream role is schedule. With an upcoming tour looming, production on the project is set to begin in conflict with his availability. Pokemon takes place in a world where tiny monsters are gathered by children in order to battle for good and evil. Digital Domain will be taking care of the creature effects with director Martin Kawasawa. Pokemon: Masters is scheduled for a Christmas 2013 release.

Actually...... what the heck. If worse comes to worse, we'll have the Pokémon themselves to look forward to. I mean, we all suffered through Episodes 1,2 and 3 of Star Wars with anyone who played Anakin. I think I can handle Justin Bieber.

I don't want to see an american made Pokemon movie especially a live action one. They chopped up what they show on tv badly enough. He's too old to play Ash anyhow. Then again Ash should be 30 by now lol.

Where did you hear this at? I can't find any articles at all about this on google, just a bunch of kids asking if he likes Pokemon.

I got an email from one of those up to the minute press releases. You can set it up to alert you from various sites.

I can tell most of you are old and missed the Pokemon Era, but it played a huge part on my childhood. I still have all my cards and I'll be 23 in a few months. LOL. POKEMON MASTA SON!

If Bieber gets the young butts in the seats then I'm sure they have good reason to want him.

Though the name Pokemon alone should sell itself.

Lucky for me I care for neither. ;)

23! I wish I could see 23 again. Getting back on the subject, I like Pokemon. I used to watch it every day after I got off work. Now too bad every weekend, I get reruns of "That's so Raven . I like the show but I wish they show some new episodes, Hanna Montana and The Suite Life of Zack and Cody. Again not bad shows just too many reruns. I miss the Saturday Morning TV wars that the networks had. They always tried to outdo each other which was great for people like me.

Pokemon was awesome growing up. There were a few good episodes, but it went down hill when Brock left and replaced by tracy. I stopped watching after that....the show got too repetitive and stories werent that great anymore.......

i still have all my holograms...i got rid of all my regular cards.....i think i had like 3-4 charizards....i havent looked at them in ages....

I think it is too late for a pokemon live action movie....they should have did it years ago when it was still popular. The kids have moved onto a new fad......back then, cards will sell out within a hour. Now, they collect dust on store shelves......

Yeah, like any show after awhile it slowly goes downhill. Once Misty and Brock left I gave up watching. I Don't care who you are though, those games are STILL fun to play, I spent countless hours playing them, used to bring our gameboys to school with the link cables and battle and trade.

Charizard was the card I never had, they were like $100 when I was a kid, now you can find ton's of them on eBay for really cheap, LOL.

I traded the majority of my foil cards for a slightly damaged Charizard and a week later I got one in a pack. :lol

Loved the games (blue and yellow, and kind of silver), was obsessed with the card game, and jumped on the weeaboo train before most people knew what anime was. Huge part of my childhood. Proud to say I grew out of the anime, but I could definitely go digging for those cards again.
