Probably the right decade.
The props are, in fact, from the classic Doctor Who series. If you look at the bottom right of the last picture, you can see a Dalek Trooper helmet from Resurrection of the Daleks.

I remember one gun on the classic show vividly. It was a black rifle, and had these two glowing "energy crystal" things on top of it that went dim when the charge in the weapon was depleted.
That one has always stuck with me, and I'd always wanted a better look at it. No idea what the episode was, or even about.
Or maybe I just remember it because Teela ran around with it for most of the episode. :lol
