Just a little side project: The Fifth Element Stones

I wanted to purchase a set of these stones, but the ones available were a bit smaller than I liked since I'm planning on making it a base for the Leeloo bust I'm working on. I also wanted to do an "opening" version of the stones, so I decided just to make a set myself.
The overall height is 9.5" which I feel is a good compromise between the versions already out there.

Sorry for adjusting the color (material I used was salmon pink color:thumbsdown)and the bad quality of the picture, but this is just a test piece I did for the WIND stone, hence very rough and no cracks or textures yet.

I'll keep updating on this thread when I get the final ones done and hopefully figure out how to make this thing open and close mechanically.

Thanks for looking,
Ely

Thanks guys.
It's made from 3/4" sign foam used for routed outdoor signs.
I found just enough to make a sample and hopefully I can find some more to make all 4 stones.
They come in different thicknesses and densities which gives it different textures.
It's also nice that it can be carved and chipped easily and look organic.

Actually, the hardest part of this was looking at all the screen caps to figure out the correct pattern for the stones, then draw them up.

Thanks, me too :D.
My plan is to actually have colored acrylic triangular pillars on top and have lights shining into them. That's all in theory for now, but that's what I'm shooting for.

Here's my trial texture work:

Looks awesome. This is a project i would like to tackle someday and will. I would love to use some servos and specialized sensors and make them "work".

I'm disappointed that I haven't had any time to continue this project :(
It still is on my 'to do' list, but I literally have several projects ahead of this.
I'll update as soon as I have something further to show.
