We have finally started on the Jupiter 2 inspired home theater.

We are building the flight console and are designing the interior.

Does anyone have pics of the Jupiter 2 upper bridge?

Really excited. Will give be a cool place to display the B9 Robot. Kick back and watch movies.

As I said we are building the flight console separately. Some people cut holes in the top of the console and mount there. We have decided to make the top solid and build each panel separately. Then cut a hole on top and insert completed panel.

The following attachments show the progress on the Telemetry Console. Each console will have a separate power cord for power.

I am not hard wiring anything in. Want to make everything portable and easy to work on. The lighted ribs will also have separate power cords.

The walls will be built like a set. False front hollow back on wheels for mobility.

    Stay tuned.

I am getting alot of help from a few friends. Ya mud and tape are a bear. Sheetrock will be finished tonite.

We are opting on mudding and taping right now. Want to get the floor in first and the ribs and ceiling. I would hate to have everything mudded and taped and then have to move something.

Will post finished pics of the sheetrock tonite.

Then we are taking a 3 week break. Then the floor.

I have a budget and need to stick to it the best I can.

Shout out to Brent, Mike, Pat and Bill. I would not have even been able to do this without you guys!

I know what you mean on tapping, and mudding then having to move around some things. Can't wait for the update. Hopefully you don't burn yourself out, and take that needed break to do a little relaxing. Good luck with your project.

I have been asked if that is a Garage Door in the last pics.

    Yes It Is.

We are going to permanently seal it in place. Cut off the railing at the door. Opening up the ceiling for rock etc.

I have been thinking how I want to do the starfield. As I said before I am going with a representation picture of space and hooking up fiberoptics throughout. Place this mural a couple of inches in front of the viewport(Windshield) giving an illusion of depth. Hope it works.

Wow. That mural sounds awesome. I think it would work. There is a restaurant that did a similar idea with the fiber optics on there ceiling, and put moss, and fake plant live in the area. So it looks like your looking up through a canopy of jungle to seen the stairs. Restaurant was called "Rainforest Cafe". Really cool. Can't wait to see the finished project.

I have the time..:lol That's like a remodel I had to do on a house. Owner wanted it finished in 2 months. Said more like 6. Paid me extra to live at the house since it was unoccupied, and work on the house all day, and night. Finished it in 4 months, but did it burn me out. It's best to have a good time line on the schedule. You don't rush, you don't burn yourself out. Or make mistakes or get injured on rushing.

    Hey Jamie.

It will not look entirely like the Jupiter 2 but close enough.

Will be a nice place to show my stuff.

Have not seen many more to collect.

I do like the MIB Stuff.

I was talking with the wife and we have some Adcom Equipment we will be using for the theater.

You should make a hidden wall like in MIB II. The family is watching television, and K, and J just walk in to help themselves.

This is what I'm talking about. Keep up the great work. If you plan on removing everything, and not use that door any more instead of throwing it away at a cost some places that install garages will take your old doors for free. They reuse and recycle etc. They did that with my dads old one when we moved.

Actually we are going to keep the old door. We are going to cut the railing off above the door so it does not interfere with the ceiling. The door will stay on the railing. Then we are going to seal all around the edges. That way I do not have to create a whole wall. We will then paint the inside of the door black/

    Next the floor.

Talked with a buddy of mine who is helping. We are going to lid the sheet rock. Then attach the soffits to the ribs and sheet rock in between. This will give a cathedral ceiling look. Will also have a large ring in the center where all the ribs will meet. I will be adding a dome painted black inside the ring with holes drilled through for stars.

Right now the floor then carpeting. Then ceiling.
