Thank you! I was really tempted to get the V2 board of Markpoon, but I'm starting to realize that I really love my board ^^

Lovely setup Emma :cool

Thank you! I fell in love with this frame when I saw it, I was like "omg, will match with the board perfectly" xD

Anyway, I finally received the swiss knife, but does anybody know how to remove the rivets? I find a few solutions on the Internet, but couldn't manage to remove them yet :x

That is exactly what I thought when I saw it. It's like they were made for each other !

Other than a steel pin (or a sturdy phillips screwdriver you don't need and can afford to break the handle), a good old hammer, and very precise blows, I can't think of any other way I'd do it myself.

If they're even real rivets. When I did a knife for the lost room, the side panels showed fake rivets and the side panel was held on by a metal tab that went over the end of the case near the blade (when extended).

I think they are real ones, but aaah I don't know what to, I can't manage to pop them out x), I tried to hammer it but I might not be strong enough xD

Well I believed the "buttons" on the rivets might be glued, but I don't know how to remove them, I couldn't manage it ><

Try one of those hard metal very slim & small screwdrivers, those that are usually used for spec screws. I found a set of a dozen of them of all shapes & sizes from my local pound shop :thumbsup

If they're real rivots...You could get a drill and bit the size of the post part of the rivet and try drilling straight down through the rivet to bore it out. The knife would have to be very securely held down.

Hey guys, how many links do you think there are in the upper part of the bracelet? I know there are 4 on the bottom, but any ideas? I can't really tell because of the dirt, I would imagine 6 or 7? Thanks ^^

Also, how could i make this dirt effect do you think?

Could you use thin tissue paper and the paint it with different shades of brown?

Nah it needs to be a bit more 3D I think... I might try do get some real dirt, and maybe use some sort of PVA glue but for metal or something x) What do you think? What about the links on the upper part too, any idea ? ^^

here's what i would do:
get some sawdust put it in 3 different paper cups....mix in 3 different shades of brown latex paint a little at a time..the paint will soak up in the saw dust(but keep it saw dusty!) .....now put some wood glue on the back of the watch with a brush and sprinkle the 3 different brown on it using old spice shakers (like the kind rosemary comes in) a little here and there building up a layered look......BANG YOU DID IT!!:cool

oh and i think there are 8 links on top of the watch band

Thanks for the ideas, I like the ultraman one ^^

I don't think I can rust stainless steel, and I don't think it's rust anyway, just some dry dirt or something x)

Like 7 links and a 8th one around the leather string?

Thanks!

By the way, I finally mounted the band onto the watch, was not easy as the sort of "stems" (?) were a bit rusty x) But I think this is the perfect band! It's from the 70's

Also, got no luck for the swiss knife, can't manage to disassemble it ><

the best way to remove rivets is with a drill with a metal cutting drill bit ......preferably a drill press but a hand drill will also work just take it slow and us a bit that is about the same size as the rivet is. the only part that holds it together is the back side of the rivet so even if you just drill out half way on the back it will just fall apart and you could push the rivet through.

Yes, I would have done this, if I actually could see the head of the rivets haha, but there are these sort of buttons, so I don't know how to remove these...

So I don't know if i should try to drill straight onto the buttons?
