Another unique look that still is in keeping with the original Hero board look. Don't think it really needs Pedro's blessing on it. But of course, it is your board...you are the boss of it.

Thank you! I was not much thinking of the painting but the carving actually, he did the carving right? I kinda want my Van Pelt to be more detailed

Ah... yes I see (just put my glasses back on)..... There are quite a few little improvements to the carving. Yes, very cool.
Well...I just sold my board on evilbay:devil..... to pay some bills:unsure.....so I need another board to play around with again.....hmmm:angel

just when I thought our jumanji boards can't get any better, my project team member proved me wrong if we can pull this off, we will be able to incorporate all the riddles in the mini LCD!

nope, the run is closed & we'll only be selling them on ebay we're now working to incorporate all 14 riddles in the mini LCD, if we can pull this off, we will have the ULTIMATE jumanji board

With all due respect, but the Project Runs section of the RPF is meant to post info about props / items you will actually be able to buy on the RPF. Since you will offer neither another Jumanji board, nor this display here on the RPF, I don't think this info belongs in this section of the forum. I guess it's more appropriate if you just start a new thread about your Jumanji board work in the "Replica Props" section, and once there is a board on eBay, post a link in the junkyard.

Now it's very confusing for people that you give info in the classifieds section, about something that's not available to buy here on the RPF.

Just my two cents...

Not saying what you should or shouldn't of course do of course Mark, but it would be nice were you to offer this LCD add-on for your loyal customers here on the board, particularly to those who bought one of your boards on a run here

opcorn.....I guess TomVDJ has a point there.:confused This Thread has evolved somewhat over time, from a 'PROJECT RUN' type forum (which technically has ended).... to a Jumanji Board upgrade & redesign thread for new boards that will only be on ebay.....like a mix between a For Sale thread and Replica Prop Thread.:wacko

The new LCD sounds interesting Mark....will be keen to see that.

I think, he just doesn't want to open another thread just for the LCD display...

And everything is better than starting a new run of Jumanji boards; this time WITH LCD displays, the ultimate and most acurate board... Don't get me wrong, I would love to see another run, because these boards are awesome, but the last time there were a lot of runs of props, which were sold as acurate, and half a year later... surprise... a new run with more acurate props... And all fans sold their old version and have to get a new one...

So, one and final version of a prop is cool, I know there is still something you could make better next time, but if it's done, there is no need for a new one... It makes customers feel like they haven't got the best what they could get... Just my 2c...

sorry but that's not gonna happen, trust me, you're not the only one who wants to buy them for $1,350 now I opened the run for weeks & only Sarednab & mbmcfarland responded & they're now happy owners of our v2s & they've gotten their boards upgraded by pedro :thumbsup

I don't think that is the POV of everyone (?).

I was in the original run and I felt absolutely no desire to get a V2 board at all.

IMO, the differences were miniscule, not even observable to the naked eye unless specifically pointed out, and did not justify either getting a more accurate version or provoke any 'unhappiness' for only having the original version.

I still love the V1 and won't change it for anything at all :love (I hate that emoticon with pigtails :lol)

An 'upgrade' like this LCD display is a totally different kettle of fish and it would be awesome to modify the board I have with it !

(so long as its made as a 'plug and play' thing and no soldering or electronic tinkering is involved :lol)

I think the V1 was spot-on for price vs quality and personally, would not have paid more for a board.

The hike in price between the V1 & V2, IMO, was not due to an increase in quality or accurancy, but rather to simple economics of supply and demand determining price, particularly on ebay, which would reflect events here.

'Evidence' of this is that even V1's were going for over $1000 before the V2 was even made.

And don't get me wrong, good luck to Mark in any and all cases :thumbsup
