Juggernaut *UPDATE 7-13-15* Suit UP!

Its not heavy at all. I would say the suit as is is no more than 20lbs. Its the heat and bulk that worries me lol

I had to stop for the night because my air compressor ran out of juice and apparently it's rude to run a big air compressor at midnight. Who goes to bed before midnight?!? Thats the best time to craft! I amost got the 1st layer done.

This is an awesome post to come across so close to halloween! Did you ever get around to finishing it?

Did you seal the foam before adding the latex? If you don't seal the foam the latex will absorb into the foam instead of setting on the top surface of it.
It will be like you are wearing a gallon of latex , and that is pretty heavy.

Awesome build. I made a juggernaut myself two years ago, but my proportions were all wrong. I plan to redo next year after finishing my home remodeling.

Like alpha said, you will need to seal the foam with white glue or something. Otherwise the foam will just absorb the latex and you will use twice if not more latex than you need.

Looking great man. The stilts gave me a great idea!

How do you use white glue? Would you just layer it on and let it dry then latex over it? Is this like the kid's white glue or craft glue? If so this is the time to buy it clearanced out! That's great to know, when I talked to someone on a Juggernaut build they stated they had to use 5 layers of latex, I bet that's the reason!

Yup, the foam will absorb an amazing amount. I honestly just watered down regular white glue to the point where I could paint it on with a brush. Get over all the foam and let it dry thoroughly, usually over night. From there the glue acts like a skin, preventing the foam from absorbing the latex deep within it but still allowing a layer of latex to give you the skin look. I took flesh colored latex on some parts and when the flesh was out at my local store, I used white. With both, I added acrylic to tint it to natural skin tones with an airbrush and it also strengthens it a bit in my opinion. Worked really well for me.

The Juggernaut is my favorite character, so I can't wait to see this finished. Looking great so far! *Subscribed
