I love big costumes! What better costume to tackle than the one and only Juggernaut! This is my first time working with upholstery foam but i am super excited. I also have updates on my facebook pagehttps://m.facebook.com/Badlightstudio.

I highly value the support and advise of this awesome community so let me know what i am doing right, wrong, or what I can do better.

Re: Juggernaut costume

X3: Last stand does not exist to me. The Comic version is the only true Juggernaut. This suit will stand about 8 1/2 ft. tall and covered with a latex skin. I have been using both juggernaut and Hulk pictures for reference.

Re: Juggernaut costume

Update!! Looks like this will get VERY pic heavy very quickly. I got my drywall stilts in an they work fantastically! I wanted to put what I had together so I could check the scale and make sure it looked OK. So far I am very pleased with how the proportions are turning out, cause lets face it, Juggernaut does not have normal proportions. I also have a video I can upload to youtube if anyone is interested in seeing this in motion. So what do you guys think? Am I on the right track?

Re: Juggernaut costume

Wow. I am always impressed by people willing to wear stilts in their costumes. It is usually hard enough to move and see already! This is going to be one impressive Juggernaut!

Re: Juggernaut costume

Accurate height Juggernaut? Awesome. Are you going to build some sort of mechanic in the hands for opening/clenching the first? Either way looks incredible

Man are we ever on the same page. The comic versions were the true inspirations. Subscribed

They are fully functional (in theory). This weekend's project will be to finish the hand mechanisms and starts covering them with foam. I was able to get one hand fully working but hand to disassemble it to make the second hand.

Re: Juggernaut costume

Never seen an accurate comic proportioned Juggernaut costume before. Hope this project works out.

Re: Juggernaut costume

I was in the store the other day and I saw something that made me think of this build. They are the new "Hulk Hands" and they are molded in the open position instead of the closed fist. They are also flexible and can be opend and closed with very little effort. You might want to check them out and maybe save some time sculpting?

Thats a really good idea! I'm not sure they would fit my scale but i will check them out if i see them in the store.

I have found a solution to a very large problem I have been worried about with this (and other large) costumes. That is heat disipation!

I have found a possible solution. It is a personal "air conditioner" or "air cooler" depending on your definition. it circulates ice water in front of a fan that blows the cold water at you. I think thsi will work very well in a super hot foam/latex suit that is about 2-3 inches thick.

Let me know what your guys think about the idea

Yeah, pretty sure no.

The fan will need to face the outside air to circulate anything back to you. You're just going to get misted (and thus extra dampening of your suit) with some recycled air and it won't take like you're hoping it will.

I'm especially worried about the moisture.

I did something like this with my Tusken Raider, and I quickly stripped clean any moisture elements and just went with the fan, which was hidden underneath some light cotton, and then I rigged a tube system to feed it up into my helmet to blow outside air into my face. It ended up being too cumbersome, so I just dealt with sweating and hydrate sufficiently beforehand and after.
