Hi everybody,
First post here and a brand new member. This is my first costume build and I'm not experienced at all but I've been kicking it into high gear to finish this thing. I started the project August 25th. My costume is an Iron Man MKVI built from varying thicknesses of eva foam.
In hindsight, I wish I would've started out with thinner foam than 12mm for some of the pieces that are the gray color and maybe 3D printed the helmet so I could have a hinged faceplate. Also, I learned to be more careful using the Exacto knife... (Warning some gore)

I cut the foam using my school's laser cutter which was excellent in making quick work of the cuts.
Here's the laser cutter doing some test cuts.
Chest/ABS/COD
Forearm/Bicep
Legs+Hinges
Helmet minus the earpods
3D Printing the earpods using one of my school's new Makerbot Replicator 2
Plastidipping the costume
Helm detail
Currently waiting for the Plastidip to dry. I have a push light for the arc reactor and some ideas for eye lights. I also still have to cut the boots and hand/handplate. Running a time crunch here and haven't been able to get to the laser cutter.
