That does look similar to the print lines from my Shapeways coin. Quite frankly, I don't like the lines. They make the coin "muddy".
There's plenty of time before the 3rd movie, I'll ask you guys, is it better with or without the lines ?
Please add me for four coins in the next run. Thanks!
Without the line for sure the coin is a BOLD piece and the lines would simply detract from the coin clean lines and precise images. If folks want the lines then shapeway is the way to go. However without line just looks cleaner.
oh before I forget please change my coin request from 12 to 24 please.
We'd have to see how it looks too. Also I'll probably order more than 2 depending on my financial situation at the time. I'll let you know before you start the run.I checked with the coin company's info. They don't offer custom engraving on the edge of the coin....but it says they do add Text to the edge.
I've sent them an email asking if they can add the text character < repeated around the edge which would give a similar effect.
If they charge by the character, this won't be feasible to do affordably. I'll see how they respond.
It should be noted that if there is a Round 4 for the third movie, International shipping prices will be higher.
I was sending International with "Thick Envelope", which I have now found out is for Documents only.
All coins would be sent as "package" in any new run.
I'm down for 4 next round! What time frame are we looking at (roughly)?
I wouldn't go with it.View attachment 797835
I don't think EDGE TEXT is really an option. It only gets engraved in the middle of the coin edge, not all the way from edge to edge. There would appear to be too much space between letters for the effect we want. And to do edge text, the coin would have to be 3mm thick....while all my previous coins have been the 2.5mm thickness.
