John McClane's ID wallet from Die Hard With A Vengeance.

In Oct 2014 I was lucky enough to be in London when The Propstore were displaying several items that were going up for auction.
One of the items that caught my eye (as something I could try to replicate) was John McClane's ID wallet from Die Hard With A Vengeance.

So far I've managed to find a badge and sorted a pretty accurate ID, but I'm struggling with the wallet.............can anyone help identify the manufacturer?

The wallet you show from the DH display is ALMOST like a typical NYPD snap closure badge case except mirror imaged. All the NYPD snap fold cases I own or have seen have the ID card on the left and and the badge on the right. One of the original makers, Jay Pee Leather company, had the contract for NYCPD and theirs included a riveted hole for a security chain.

Most current badges are in this configuration.

I've seen other DH props including one like this one. This, too, has the ID on the right side.

You may wish to track down the correct badge case by contacting some of the badge case makers such as Perfect Fit Leather, Strong Leather, Tex Shoemaker Leather,etc. I think Jay Pee may be gone, have not seen their stuff for a couple of years. I can get you one probably custom made through one of my vendors, but custom stuff is pricier than an existing piece if you can find one.

I had noticed that this wallet was an odd configuration compared with the others I'd seen.
Any idea how pricey a custom job would be (ball park figure), as I may be tempted?!

I can find out and get you a close estimate. Do you have access to UK warrant wallets, etc.? Trades?

Only via eBay or from shops that sell to the public.

I was considering getting one of the wallets that has the badge in the middle/ID on the left and unpicking swapping around and re-stitching......still need to find a close match first though.
