Although the Joker has been my longest running WIP, it's also been the funnest costume I have ever got to work on, and deffintly my favorite character to "become".

I've been the Joker for 2 Halloweens in a row, but this Halloween I plan to turn to a diffrent...but yet...also strange dude...The Mad Hatter. However, I don't plan to give up my TDK Joker just yet. I've got the Bank Heist costume, as well as the Nurses dress; which I'll be able to wear to a blood drive the 24th or so. (Just had the trim added today actualy!)

But I have decided to still keep on track my orginal intention from 2008, to have a nice (but now more accurate) TDK suit that will blow the 2008 suit I had out of the water.

What I still need :

New coat
New vest
New pants
Tabio Socks
Albert Thurston Braces
New Chain
Shirt to be sewn
Weather gloves

Here is what I currently have :

To see if it would work...I tried out weathering one of my brown shoes last night. The one on the left is weathered, the one on the right is how they originaly looked.

Jodo! It's MistahJ from DMT! Where did you get those lovely shoes sir? Btw, I got new scars in today, gonna do a make-up test right now in fact and see how they come out.

Re: Jodo's TDK Joker Suit WIP - Weathered Shoes

Hey man!!!! I got those shoes about a year ago at a shoe store in a mall about 30 miles from here. I can't think of the name of the place....But the shoes are a brand called RJ Colt. I think they were like $20 on sale.

I need scars as well, but for my Nurse Joker blood drive event here the 24th I'm going to wear my nurses medical mask so I don't have to shave, LOL.

Re: Jodo's TDK Joker Suit WIP - Weathered Shoes

Thanks guys!

Gordon, it was very simple! I just used sandpaper. :D I now beleive the shoes started out a similar brown....Or...anyway, to my experience, they went from brown to grey-ish realy fast and easy. I think a simlar method may have been used.

The only think "special" I did was add a dash of blue "sanded paint" here or there from a SW helmet I'm sanding, and then just sand the blue around. But I don't think it helped overall...Or...in general. :lol It actualy happened by accident, because I used the same sand block I used for the helmet, and I noticed a few dashes here and there. So I sort of swirled them in. But I sanded it overall after that, so I think the blue is proboly all gone.

Re: Jodo's TDK Joker Suit WIP - Weathered Shoes

I think after good weathering like this one doesn't need super accurate shoes. Safer on the wallet this way.

Today there was a community blood drive...So I gave blood today as the Joker. :lol

More pics after I get them off of other cameras, lol.

That's weird; usually The Joker takes blood...

Nice costumes and make-up, by the way. I love the cop car shot.

Thanks mate! :D LOL, yeah I know.....But I got to go around and ask people to give....And then of corse I was obligated to tell them "we will take it". :D :p
