Jodorowsky's Dune

I am a huge DUNE fan and I actually enjoy a lot of what is in the Lynch film even though it is so different from the book, especially his disturbing take on the Baron. I really loved the Sci-fi miniseries.

I have a lot of fondness for the Lynch version of Dune. Yes they changed way too much from the book but I love the look and feel of the production. I think I still have the "Dune Terminology" sheet they handed out during the theatrical release.

Finally watched the documentary, which was quite interesting, and my original opinion stands. I think it would have been visually sumptuous, but narratively speaking a huge mess. Jodorowsky assembled an impressive team (that went on to do great stuff like Alien), but dude, when you talk about wanting to make a movie that opens minds and changes the world, it's a little too "art school" for me. I think this is exactly how far the project should have gone, because it still has the potential to be great. (In an alternate universe.)
