Hey guys!
Just thought that I'd create a WIP thread for my current project. I'm working on creating this suit, as seen by Deviant Art member DanielAraya :

I just got the Dye Sub suit in today, and I'm looking forward to getting it sewn up! It was made by the talented Brulafu (Bruce). Here are some pictures.

I'm sculpting the cowl and gauntlets myself. I have a WIP thread of the cowl here :

A pair of Gotham 100s will be used for boots, and I made a cape for myself last year (4 panel). I'll be updating this thread as the pieces start coming together. Let me know what you guys think! :)

Oh, and here's the pouches that I'll be using for the belt. They sit at a perfect height when I wear them. I'll be making the other belt sections out of MDF.

Here I was about to ask about the cowl and I see your other post. Impressive looking sculpting on that, and I'm looking forward to see how the suit ends up.

Re: JLA Batman CG Concept suit - WIP

I can't wait to see the end result, cause it looks great already.

Small update for those of you who are following this. I made this cape last year and I decided to use it again for this suit. Here's the original cape :

Then I used sewing chalk to mark some edges :

And here's what it looks like now :

Let me know if these pictures are coming out too big or anything. Not sure how it looks on other screens.

Re: JLA Batman CG Concept suit - WIP

Hey guys, just wondering if I could get some help. Are there any tutorials on how to sew a dye sub suit? I've never sewn anything like this, so I want to be sure of what I'm doing. Any help you guys could give would be great!

Re: JLA Batman CG Concept suit - WIP

Good news! Jordan Chapman will be making my belt. I decided that I didn't want to mess with it myself. (His page is here : https://www.facebook.com/JordansIronicArmory) He printed my buckle this morning and sent me a picture. I am very excited! The buckle will actually be fully functioning too!

I couldn't agree more. They both have done a great job bringing this suit to life for me. It's going to look sweet when it's all put together!

Re: JLA Batman CG Concept suit - WIP

Jordan sent me an awesome picture today! The belt is finished!

In other news, I found a local seamstress to sew my suit and resize my gotham 100's. Can't wait to get this done.
