He's most noted for his work on Star Wars E2,3 as a concept artist. He's got a few DVD tutorials thru GnomonWorkshop. He's got one on PainterX and some on spacecrafts and environments.

He's an Art Center Grad.

I'm a Trek fan and I like the newly designed ship. I also like your photoshop better than the newly designed ship. :thumbsup And I'd put the photon torpedo launch bay back just above the secondary hull. :)

Okay, I like the new ship with one small gripe. I don'y like how the support struts are at the front or end of the nacell caps and the warp engins are at saucer level. Especially with the struts at the very end of the secondary hull. I would have gone with the nacells above the saucer like the original, and connected at the mid way point onthe nacell. I actually think the warp engins look smaller/shorter than the original girl!
Other than that I love the new look and I'm sure when I see her in action, I'll forget all about my petty gripe. If I had been the one chosen to reboot Trek, I would have done all kinds of cool things that I think would be awesome, and then I would get on a board and read how everyone thinks I've screwed it up....so.....oh well, Rock On JJ....Thanks for bringing Trek back!

And, frankly, I think he does Trek better than Wars. Judging by his work when he took over as the lead designer for EPIII, he's more adept with curving, organic designs than with the traditional "boilerplate" look of Star Wars tech.

One question/idea...
Is it possible that the bussard are yet to be turned ON on that pic?
I mean, it's possible that the big E is in "stand-by" waiting to start moving, then, maybe, they could turn orange/red while in motion... Yes? No?
