JIN ROH Panzer cop armour any help?

Hello,

i having been wanting to do a jin roh panzer cop costume for a long time, since i saw the anime, when it came out to Australia.

have been looking at a lot of forums and web pages, but have really got no where. I have seen some threads around here but some are a couple of years old.

So the question that i put out there is there anyone who makes the armour or pieces of armour? "eg: the face plate". be able to help me source parts for this costume.

or if not does anyone have plans?

I actually have been planning on doing the armor from 'The Red Spectacles' which is what Jin Roh was inspired from after I finish my ODST project. The armor is very similar without a symmetrical chest like in the anime.

Here is the 3d model I did last year. I will need to clean the geometry up a bit to work for pepakura though.

im getting this from Japan which i will use to help figure out what i will need to get other than the major armour pieces.

and i know it is the wrong face mask from the amine of jin roh but it still looks cool, considering AxiomUltra has the other mask that's in the amine movie.


Also AxiomUltra, can't wait to see youe finished ODST.

can't believe how fast postage was from Japan 3 days in the mail, will post pics of the protect gear 20th anniversary figure in a day or two.

So it has been almost over 1 1/2 years, any progress on any Jin Roh suits?

just starting to try and get pieces together but it is very slow. i am talking with a friend and thinking more of going with aluminum for the armor parts.

Built a low tech version of this costume a few years back, ended up using foam core to shape the parts and then covering with sheet metal to get the armor appearance. I modified an Israeli gas mask to make the faceplate. I'll post some pics if I can find them.

Hi AxiomUltra, I was wondering if you had a pep file for the Jin Roh / Stray Dog / Red Specks available at all as I have been searching with no luck so far and any assistance would be much appreciated.

I created three outfits for my two teens and I for a local upcoming con. We beta tested them on Halloween. We modeled ours off the Stray Dog movie versions, using EVA foam sheets, expanding foam for support and truck bed liner. We used kydex German helmets (M42s?) and cast resin faceplates from Scott at Hanger18 Studios. Here are pics of my daughter in hers (Unit# 03)...Still some detail work to do before con in May, like paint, collar badges, etc...
