Jason Voorhees Remake 09 costume

Hey there! I was able to grab one of the Swedish M90 coats that was listed in this thread (in lieu of finding the H&M.) I do have a question, though, from the picture it looks pretty thick (which makes sense, it is a parka) is it recommended to rip the lining out of this coat for an accurate look, or leave it in? I am going for a remake/ Pt 3 & 4 look, and I am planning on keeping the coat and "overcoat" green. This thread has been VERY informative! Thank all of you for the information.

I personally like it better with the lining ripped out. It makes the jacket a lot lighter. It also helps with joining the two jackets together. Instead of sewing the two jackets together I started using hot glue, and glued both of them together. Every time I went to a local seamstress they turned me away, and said they didn't have a big enough needle to get through the material, so just a heads up if anyone else is having the same problem with people not wanting to do it. However the top woolrich coat is no longer made either.

Awesome! Thanks! I ripped the lining out of several pairs of RZ Myers coveralls, so I have an idea how to go about that, and I agree, it makes the coat lighter for those summer camping trips. ;) Yeah, I have temporarily given up on finding the Woolrich coat. I found one with the right plaid, and inside pattern in a size Medium, but I figured that would be way too small to fit over top of the other coat and fit me properly. I have found a few "pretty close" options. I will keep my eyes open, but I feel like at this point it will be more luck than anything else trying to track this down.

I actually have some left over fabric that I just found in my closet from the bottom part of the woolrich coat. You could use that, but you would just have to cut the flannel patterns out for the collar and front strips on the top portion of the coat. I'd send it to you for $20 shipped. Let me know if your interested.

Hmmm... I might have to take you up on that. Let me see what my paycheck looks like at the end of next week. I am also wondering about the collar on the parka. The thing is huge, and sticks up something terrible. It looks like it is trimmed down to tatters on the movie coat. Is that about right?

Sounds good man :) yeah, I would just trim it a little and tatter it up a bit. Lol, I know those collars are enormous. Ha.

Great costume, I made one myself back in 2010. Really like the weatering job on the clothes.

Thanks zacsith!
