Jason Voorhees Remake 09 costume

Hey guys,
I've been making a remake coat and shirt for a member over on FS And I decided to take a few shots in full costume for him, and everyone here. Everything else was done by me, except the machete holster. My friend Sam made that for me. I still have a little tweaking to do to the coat, but here's a few shot for now. Hope you guys like them

thats an awesome costume actually looks like the real deal. Can you tell us how you did the jacket. Here in Australia that jacket is impossible to find or even make.

Glockink Very nice bro I totally dig that.

Hewitt I can definitely give you some pointers on the jacket. I studied the coat for hours, and I know for sure which coat was used in the film for the top portion, it's a woolrich lined stag jacket, in barley color. You just turn that woolrich coat inside out, and cut it in half.
As for the bottom coat It's an H&M parka, those are pretty hard to find. I lucked out a few times on ebay and was able to get a couple to do some of these coats. I wish the woolrich coat was cheaper, it's about 189 shipped :angry
For the weathering I used watered down acrylic's in a spray bottle, and dyes. I let the top part of the coat sit in brown dye overnight, as well as the bottom coat. I also used some black and brown spray paints to accent some of the weathering, and to make it look a little more dirty. I used razorblades, and a cheese grater for the shredding. It depends I don't think I paid over 40 for each of the two H&M coats I got on ebay. There also is a military coat that resembles the H&M coat, but you'd have to tweak it a little. It's a swedish M90 coat.

I couldn't see the pictures on the old auction I won the coat from. I have been looking forever too, it sucks that they're so hard to come by. I found a similar military coat that might work with a little tweaking. Check out the Swedish M90 parka. It's the closest parka I have found as of yet. You would have to remove the buttons on the pocket flaps, and the front parts of the pockets, but other than that it looks good to me.

Great Remake costume! if you wouldnt mind I would like to hear more about how you did the sewing of the two jackets and where exactly to cut them both... I can find the woolrich, but having a tough time with the H&M, I can find the sweedish m90 though... anyway if you can i would love to pick your brain on this.... thanks

Thanks, you cut the woolrich jacket a little more than half. At least a few inches below the flaps. The h&m coat is unforunately no longer made. The Swedish m90 parka is the closest your going to get to the real deal. Have you seen the pictures of the screen used coat? They are get for reference especially when you cut the woolrich as its a pretty pricey coat.

Good news for all the remake costume builder
The h & m coat is no longer manufactured, but there is now a jacket that looks exactly!
in the h & m bib department, there are the "BiB jacket," she looks just like the movie (maybe used in the film)
I'm building a costume, I will immediately post pictures when it's done!
