Hey guys here's my Jason Voorhees part 7 New blood costume. Special Thanks to Justin Mabry from nightowl for the vengeance hood, and part 7 gloves. I made the Flesh undersuit out of silicon. I used the bump in the night gore chest, I altered it and repainted the whole thing. I also used the twisted toybox spine piece which I also repainted. I used the licensed rubies knees, and repainted them as well. I painted the hockey mask, and weathered the clothes. It took me forever to complete, but I still have some tweaking to do, so it's still a work in progress so far . Thanks for looking

Looks simply great! This is THE hardest Jason costume to pull off. You did an amazing job of weathering the pants and shirt without going too far!

I have a Part 7 costume I made also.
2 suggestions:

1) Get some subtle platform boots to give you height
2) Make a padded undersuit with some foam rubber matting and a snug fitting shirt, like an underarmor shirt. This will give you some more bulk around your shoulders and chest.

If you want I can post pics of mine but I didn't want to hijack your awesome thread! WELL DONE!

VERY NICE!!

I did a generic Jason for Halloween this year. It was not from a particular movie.

I agree with Jedifyfe, you need height and bulk. I picked up a nice set of Hockey shoulder pads, as they are more profile (subtle) than football ones. Those added a nice shoulder span and gave a nice v-shape. I am 6'4" tall, and for extra height I bought some 1.5" heeled work boots, and then I put in two sets of foam heel wedges on each foot. Those are about 2 " for each. In the end, I was almost 7 feet tall and it worked out well. Great job!!

Thanks a lot guys. I do need to bulk it up a bit. I'm super skinny. I have 3 sweatshirts on underneath my suit lol, but the hockey pads sound like the way to go to give me bulk in shoulders, and chest area. I'm about 6'3 so yeah I could use a little more height. I have the ripple sole jungle boots, they make me about 6'5, but it would be nice to be closer to 7 foot. Feel free to post your part 7 I would love to see it.

NICE! Justin is the man. I had one of his first Raw suits years ago, I don't have any good pics of it, but I always wanted to get another one.

Great costume by the way! Really nice.

For lift shoes/boots check out increasingshoes.com can make you up to 5" taller.

Here is mine. I am 6'1" but with these platform boots and the hood it makes me 6'5". I also weigh about 245 in this pic but was wearing a sweatshirt under the costume for extra bulk.

Justin Is the man. I would love to have one of his Raw suits. He said that he might make them again, but he's super busy right now. I can't wait to see it thought. Awesome costume btw.

That looks awesome man. You look great! And your costume looks top notch. Well done!
I weight 160lbs lol. Thanks for the link for the lifts. I still have some tweaking to do. Have to get some Hockey pads asap and take some more pictures, I'll probably have to buy some elbow pads as well because my arms are so skinny

LOVING those Jason costumes!
I feel almost vulgar using the word 'costume' because something so good looking should be considered art.
The 'New Blood' look is my favorate of all the movies and I love seeing what dedicated fans are able to put together.
I agree with JediFyfe, height and bulkiness (especially in the shoulders and chest) is what makes the whole thing 'pop' as far as authenticity of look goes.
Don't be discouraged though. Not many fans are built like Kane Hodder!

Speaking of which, I got to meet Kane recently and had him sign my Part 7 mask. He was really impressed with it and said it was better built than the original masks that he said were flimsy and could be snapped in half easily...

Thats the best Friday the 13th!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Amazing Details you got there!!!!!!!!!!!! :love

The Jason costume can be quite the illusion if you add the "bulk" and platformed feet. I have friends of mine who didn't even recognize me when they first saw me in my Jason costume because I appear much larger than my normally skinny frame they're used to seeing. I wear platformed boots like jedifyfe does and that puts me around 6'4-6'5" or so in costume. I'm also 135 pounds so I wear one of those cheesy halloween costume muscle shirts under my Jason stuff which bulks up my torso quite a bit.

Man he has changed alot since i met him back in the late 80's...bulked up even more.

Thanks for all the kind words guys. Kane has bulked up quite a bit over the years. He'sa super nice guy. I plan on buying some pads, and underarmour shirt, to give me some more bulk in the chest and shoulder area. I'll post some new pictures when I get everything finished

So after all, the official costume from rubies is a good start?!? I dont have any skills in silicone or something like that...

I thought I could start to use the parts from the deluxe costume and cut it out, sew it on my jason clothes and repaint the parts...

Good idea or save the money for the costume and try another way?

Or just save some more money and make a Part 3 costume?!? :lol

Great stuff guys! Pt 7 look was my fav as well. John B did a great job on this multi-piece design for Jason. The dental appliance was really cool. Kane wore in the mouth but it extended out of the mouth for that exposed jaw look.
I did a New Blood sculpt back in 2000-2001 for the HMA. I did my version with a set dental acrylic teeth glued into the mask. I think i even still have the mask molds some where?? LOL!
Heres a fwe pics of the one i sculpted and painted.

In my opinion, yeah I think the Rubies costume is a good start. I didn't use the spine piece, because I felt it was to short. I really only used the knee pieces for my suit, but you could repaint all the pieces, and make them look a lot better. I didn't use the chest piece either, I used the bump in the night gore chest. I think that's your best bet. I altered it with silicon, covered the intestines, and repainted it. You could use latex instead of silicon. I mixed Frosted flakes, Oatmeal, and cotton, to my silicon to get nasty looking textures.
If you need some pointers I could help you out the best I can.
