James Webb Space Telescope launch is rescheduled again

Live coverage when they deploy that last major hardware (starboard side mirrors), should be a pretty emotional moment for those involved. Though many months ahead of calibrating and testing before the start of observations.

Says Voyager 1 is traveling around 38,000 mph. While very fast, per distances in space, thats super slow to actually get anywhere.
They expect in around 3ish years that it wont have enough power to send any more data back to earth. But thats not bad for a 44 year old craft.

Can you imagine… 44 years old

They probably should send another rocket that can pick up speed like that solar probe with todays technology. I would think in 44 years (after a launch), it could travel twice the distance with even more data collected.
Its crazy how big our galaxy alone is. If you look at it full screen, Voyager has gone like....a pixel, maybe 2.

Anyone local to the South Bay in Los Angeles and know this building, there is a newly revamped walk through and interactive exibit on the ground floor. Not sure if things have changed but entry was projected to be free at the time we got an early entrance before viewing the JWST. It's well worth the trip if you're into this stuff. As a kid a friend's mom worked at the location when it was TRW and got us into the clean room to view the Voyagers while they were under construction. It was a different time obviously. We were in there for maybe five seconds as she was in the process of saying "don't touch anything" I had reached up and tore a piece of gold foil, she wasnt even done saying don't touch anything, she shreaked and pushed us out of the room all in the same breath. We also used to go play around with the space shuttle training cockpit mock up.
Check at the front desk about the museum.

That is just insane…

It's really hard to imagine...
We have made such a great progress for such a period of time. We fly to space more frequently than it has ever been. We send a lot of people to space and back. We send satellites to the orbit. We have made reusable rocket come true. And the last but not the least - we have sent the greatest scope of all time to space to discover the birth of galaxies and look for planets to live on.
People are unbelivable!

By the way, Voyagers are the most distant handmade things we have ever sent to space.
