Hello all.
I'm trying to hunt down information on a jacket that shows up on the character of Xiaohu from the film "Railroad Tigers" (2016).
This (on the right) is one of the better looks at the coat. I've included extra photos at the end of the post.
The story takes place in Eastern China in 1941 during the Japanese occupation. The style of coat doesn't really match much of anything I've found. It looks a little similar to a padded peasant jacket but much thicker and the tufts of fur along the sleeves and neck look more Mongolian/Tatar, especially with the hat. It does also somewhat resemble the Mongolian deel albeit much thicker.
I looked up the costumers for the film, they're both Chinese and don't seem to have a US web presence at all so that was a no-go.
What is this type of coat called and where might I find something like this?
