Jack Sparrow Costume Question

Unfortunetly I don't have the skills to make such a costume(Unlike all the talented people on this forum) so I was thinking of buying a pretty nice one off ebay(or any other place) for around $300-$350.

So I was wondering If anyone can recommend a seller or warn me of any particular seller that might not be totally honest about there product.

Kttc should have all the information you need. Although that depends on if they ever activate your account. I'm still waiting on mine.

Was waiting for activation as well, per review of the membership page they are no longer accepting new members.

All you'll be able to get for $350 is costumebase (if that). Their quality is good enough for an average Halloween costume, but definitely not good.

Yeah mate - 350 aint a lot when it comes to Jack. Even if you make it all yourself - the materials alone will cost you more than that. Your best best is to start with COTBP Jack and work your way up from there. Even then a fairly good one will still likely cost you more.

Baby steps mate - baby steps

empire world wide, dont trust them at all

I've only had one great experience with them. Just shop around for the items you need 'cause you may be able to find them cheaper ( in particular, the dress up kit belt trinkets and shrunken head ). They even combined shipping for 2 belts and the baldric for a reasonable price. Not SA, but it was reasonable for the quality which is still quite good. I haven't purchased any of the clothing items though... a quick google search goes a looong way in finding many, MANY reviews.

Take a look at http://jacksparrowcostuming.wikispaces.com/
The guy who runs it breaks down the costume into every last piece, which will make finding stuff alot easier.

CostumeBase on eBay does "good enough" pieces for the fabric parts of the suit. They do the belts and stuff too, but they're not really worth it in the longrun as they're not accurate to scale.

ACME does the best belts out there in my opinion (you'll find em through the website above) but it IS an investment. The alternative is to invest in the buckles and make your own belts as I'm doing.

There's also a bunch of really handy tutorials on that website, from making your own boots, to wigmaking, etc. Highly recommend taking a look at every page, cos there's some real gems in there. :)
