Jack skellington replica sculpture

For a long time I've wanted a Jack skellington of my own to display on both Halloween and Christmas, so I began by referencing the original prop puppet on the web and film plus some behind the scenes features on YouTube and Disney + then i began with forming the armature .I then moved on to working on the boney hands

Decided on a pose, finished the umbrella and head sculpt

Jacks jacket coat tails and bat bowtie have been baked, I'm using a polymer clay (Fimo soft) and I'm not a fan of it, I should have used Super Sculpy firm but it's going well anyway.

So the sculpt is complete, painting is the next step before this fellow gets mounted to the top of a lamp post.Oh and of course not forgetting his dapper bat bowtie.

I know it's a relatively small detail, but I love how the wrinkles on his jacket turned out! Looking forward to seeing this come together ^^

Jack is complete and painted up, now he will be mounted to one of these Christmasy street lamps with a brass rod that extends from his lower left leg. I've modified the lamps to look more of a Tim Burton style (not screen accurate at all) and I'm working on the snowy base.

The Christmas Jack skellington display is done and this is something I feel I should add to every year, like a different head for him etc. Ehhh Ehhh kitten you are not permitted to use this as a bed!.Happy new year everyone.
