It's SHOWTIME! . . . Vera.

So, the fedex man brought me a special package from the propstore today.

It needs a little work, but I am very seriously considering casting this sucker.

I love the gun. I watch the film showtime when it's on cable just to see the dang gun!!

:)

I'm not converting this one to a Vera, but that's why I may mold it. I'm worried about losing the paint job if it's molded though.

So we'll see what I decide. Either way, I am pretty much beside myself to own this stunt casting. It's one of my favorite movie guns ever.

Sorry for the iphone pics. I'm in the midst of moving and my good digital camera is packed away for the next little while. Once we move and I have the new shop set up, I'll take some beauty shots of her.

That wasn't a Vera, just a hero Showtimes gun... It's already been pulled from the auction due to being mislabeled.

Vera and an Alliance sonic rifle are the only two Firefly props I'd still like to add to my collection.
I'll probably make a sonic rifle one of these days,
but sadly, I'll probably never have the cash at any time
one of the Showtime guns comes available.

Hats off to those who have been at the right place at the right time
to buy a Showtime gun/Vera!

OK, it's not a done deal yet, I need to figure out the costs involved in casting it. I think they will be high. The nice thing is that it looks like these rubber stunt guns were cast in pieces and glued together, so if I can break this one down to her parts it may make it easier.

Like I said though, nothing will happen until after we get moved to a new place.

That is an outstanding score for your collection--congratulations! I'd love to see closer shots of the faux-wood paint-job on the grips.

Should you decide to do this, I'd be more than willing to pitch in and help with casting costs.
