Hi all, due to a complete lack of focus and concentration I have 11 builds on the go at once. If I get bored or frustrated I move onto the next. But im nearing completion on most of them so prepare for a deluge of threads dedicated to them. These will include a t800 arm, game of thrones light saber (yeah I know.... its for friend.... honest), painted captain america shield and an HIC to name but few.....

Oh I just thought of a few more on the boil. cant forget R2. And many many more.

Does anyone else work erratically or are you all masters of will and do one project at a time?

Glad to see its not just me. Besides getting bored easily, I get stuck with a project, it comes to a halt until I figure out what to do next. So if I have a few others in progress, I can jump off on to one of them. But same as you, it takes a lot longer to complete any of them.

Yes. A lot. I have a lot of stuff perpetually half-finished (Iria revolver, AMEE battery, unbuilt model kits still in boxes) and a list of 'ideas' and a backlog of movies to watch; all the time.

But sometimes I finish things! Sometimes.

Is it "feeling sane" if everyone else admits to being crazy, too? If everyone's crazy; nobody is!:lol

Also, I have the same problem. I've got 3-4 half finished things laying around (BvT helmet for a friend, Bioshock Infinite vigor bottles, Audrey II, Tron: Legacy disc...) and I'm about to start on another.:wacko

I have a rafal fett boba helmet all assembled but the Bondo process takes sooo lonnng, so I moved to make a kylo ren light saber mod still haven't finished that either sometimes I just get busy sometimes my ADD can't handle it lol. Not alone by any means!

I'm not content unless I got at least 5 projects going at once and usually when an idea oops in my head I gotta start on it right then or it never gets started. Its a glorious sickness, welcome to the maker world lol

It's reassuring to hear so many others have the same problem. I start a project full of enthusiasm then when I hit a point where progress is slow (like sanding, sanding and more sanding) I get bored and move on to something else. But I'm now starting to finish a few projects.

I have something like 20+ going on. I keep trying to stop getting into new ones but I seem to finish 2-3 and get 2 more. This summer is my project summer. Those backlog projects won't know what hit them... :rolleyes

I have 6 going on. I work on whatever one i get inspiration for. Today's inspiration is my Chalice of Kali from Indiana Jones. This has been a couple year project lol.

You are in good company. Unless I am building for others, my main reason for building is for fun. If the fun drops below a certain level, I advance to something more fun until the interest comes back. I eventually get the sidetracked projects finished.

I've got ten 3D-printed projects sitting around waiting for me to sand and paint them. For me, 3D modeling is pretty easy, and something I enjoy doing; printing takes very little effort; but sanding is so tedious that I have trouble forcing myself to even start.

I've got 3...no 4...wait...5, yeah 5 projects I'm working on, the longest being my Doopydoos E-11, going on about a year now. I think I may finish one this weekend.... if I can find the correct colored red paint.

Man it feels good to know you're not alone.
The second I start additional projects I start thinking, "man...I bet I'm a prime candidate for an adderall prescription..."

I'm the same way! I've got only 6 or 7 projects on my bench, but I'm always thinking of more and they all end up sitting for ages because I get distracted so easily! I think it definitely comes with the territory, lol.
