Look its an interactive CD-ROM! Since I plan on making a life size Jurassic park ford explorer I got to have the Interactive CD-ROM in it! Thats what Ive decided to model up in sketchup. Here are some of the first renderings of my model before I got exciting new information on the panel.

Then I printed out this model and it came out pretty good. Some minor sanding but it was the start of something accurate....SO I THOUGHT?!

More to come!

Thank you for the kind words. Now on to the progress of this build, I was basing my measurements off A screen shot that I made to fit the size of the tv screen. This was close but no cigar, I asked fellow RPF member Cyrix9445 if they could tell me the exact dimensions of the panel since they have a screen used one. I also asked for photos of the prop as well. Lets just say he delivered! PHOTO CREDIT: Cyrix9445! A fun fact about the original prop, they added lights to the panel but were never turned on in the film!

I immediately started over on the model of the Panasonic CD-ROM. With the correct dimensions and Excellent reference photos I knew this model was on the right track. It took me a bit of modeling and multiple versions of the single model to get where I am now but it was well worth it. I printed it out compared it to the first one.

After printing the newest more accurate version of the panel I of course compared it to the first print of the panel and there were some differences. The main difference was the size of the new panel, it was smaller and more compact then the first print.

And after sanding it down and glueing the two halves together it was exciting to see physical progress.
