Is there anyone able to mill aluminum?

Hi gang,

Was wondering if there are any RPFers able to mill/spin aluminum rods on a lathe?

I'm still working on my short film and need blasters. I love the Luke Skywalker ROTJ Saber but don't want to use an exact design so looking for something with the same vibe to attach a pistol grip to.
