Is there an Art Asylum TOS phaser tutorial?

I got my TOS black handle phaser from a local store and need to fix it up a bit.

I can't believe they didn't put a blue LED in it. Need to get that rear heat sink off without marring it. I know the ring glued to the front of the emitter is toast and the knurled looking sleeve part is another concern.

Anyone know a tutorial showing how to take it apart so I don't have to experiment?
