Is anyone here a photoshop whiz?

Tell me whether or not this is appropriate or not (I understand that there are many ins and outs of professionalism in this field.

I took my bandai falcon to a model show and they ended up taking a pro-shot for their website. Which was fantastic IMHO. I'm not a photographer, by any means.

But I'm wondering is anyone here would do a quick photoshop for me? Just something that will make this a simple desktop wallpaper on the computer. a star field or something My computer graphic skills end with ms paint.

Is that something that is like a 30 second thing that you guys do for free? Or is this something I should pay someone to do? Is it even appropriate that I downloaded it from their website? (I figure that should be okay because without the modelers, they wouldn't have a show.

Looks like you are hooked up, but if something like this comes up again, I'll give you a hand.

Nice job, guys! BTW, John, I still owe you the Crayola top view scan. The new clerk on duty at my local Staples store couldn't work the scanner right -- the Falcon's sides always get partly chopped off. If I'm able to have it scanned in two halves, would it be easy for you to stitch them together? I was thinking about just taking a photo with my camera but I just know the colors will end up a different shade.

Is that your Bandai, Astro? That looks fantastic, man!

I took Jaitea's and gave it more cowbell.

Interesting thing about the cowbell sketch. That was actually based off of the real producer of the blue oyster cult. He recently passed away.

The interesting thing about him is that for the last few years of his life were spent as a recluse......living in a music practice studio in the university where I work

Hi John/Astro - here is the Crayola 5-ft top view scan I promised - a long time coming - the longer I delayed, the lazier I became, sorry. Where'd the Falcon Streaks thread go, by the way? Anyway, I guess here is as good a place to put it. I hope you can do your magic to (1) to fix the missing edge (which is in the 2nd scan) (2) to fix the sensor dish tear and (3) to fix those little paper tears behind the front left maintenance pit (that look like weathering) and (4) to remove the light spots, if possible. Transparent and with engine glow for all your xwing needs.

Not half bad.
But I noticed on your PNG that there's an enormous amount of unused space on the left-hand side of the image,
while the engine glow is chopped on the right.
Not trying to be a jerk, just some constructive criticism for future reference.

And I totally just realized that I'm being a jerk.
Sorry. I forget how to talk to people when I'm drunk.
It's clear you spent a good deal of time cutting the X-Wing out from the background -
and you did a splendid job.
It's just that all that empty space on the left while the right is cut short is just wrong, man.
I hope you saved the cut out, and can redo this correctly - because it's really quite good.

Okay - sorry...
Just noticed this:

Also, this:

Learn to draw paths to create selections.
Don't rely on auto-masks, because they do sloppy stuff like this.
Save your selection on a channel, then use Gaussian Blur to blur the edges ever-so-slightly,
then delete the background.

I hope you don't take offense to this, and instead take it as I mean it:
As constructive criticism.
Keep learning. There's always new stuff to learn.
I'm 44 and I'm still learning.
