From what I read and what I saw on the movies, the arc reactor is the one used by Tony Stark on his chest while the unibeam is the one installed on the Ironman suit (behind it is the arc reactor)... the unibeam (as well as the whole suit) is powered by the arc reactor...
Now what's confusing me is the arc reactor used on MK2 because it also serves as the unibeam (really confusing:wacko)... must be some of the movie inconsistencies that I dont understand...:unsure

Nice work! What's the difference between the Unibeam and Arc Reactor, is it just that one is built in the suit and the other is removable?
