I actually offered to hand deliver the Ironman bust back to this seller but the offer was declined.
I feel like iv'e done something wrong here and i feel physically sick by this whole episode, all i wanted was a nice Ironman Bust and i thought this was it. :unsure

Supa - is it too tainted or too deformed to skim it, sand it, buff it, paint it and enjoy it? It has a hell of a story behind it now 
Nothing you can really do besides what you did. Mine as well finish it and keep it, not like you would want to sell it to anyone now knowing what it is.

The thing about recasting which sometimes goes unmentioned is that the purchasers are often victims too. Not only does the creator endure his item being copied and basically stolen, but the purchaser is usually left with an inferior product tainted by this garbage.
Supa is one of the true nice guys around here, yet he had his enthusiasm shattered for a piece he paid money for that he might have actually been happy with. That sucks.

I wouldnt beat yourself up over it Supa, I dont see how youve done anything wrong tbh. He knew the risks.....
On the subject of possible slimey recasters, has anybody seen a guy on the famous auction site selling a range of Aliens props via Sth Africa?
Cant say im an expert on peoples works, but it may be worth looking as it seems to me its another rip off artist taking credit and making money from the harder working?

i thought i would give you an update on the progress to this saga.
I recieved an email from Side Show and they are going to persue this very hard.
When i first joined here many years ago, i didn't really get it ! i never fully understood why people got so protective over their work, ive seen many argument's here and discussion's that over the year's have educated me enough to now fully understand why it is a matter of extreme importance we protect the many talented artist's we have here, without them we would never be able to own and enjoy the many prop replica's from the movie's we all enjoy.
Sideshow, Gentle Giant, Master Replicas to name a few offer us the same service and IMHO should be protected the very same way we protect each other's work, without them we could never own limited and licensed product's.
I am always in awe at the talent i see here on the RPF and i feel honoured that these talented people alllow us to be able to own their work,i will always and will continue to protect them and their work from recaster's and people who try to sell recast work, Without the very knowledgable people here i would never have known that i had been duped and lied too.
Unbelieveably the past few day's have been very stressful and filled with anxiety, i still feel sick to the pit of my stomach to be honest, the threat's toward me are just word's and in answer to those word's all i can say is, you have the address already, i will see you shortly. :rolleyes
SideShow have given me an online voucher, a small amount but something that was un-expected and very much appreciated, However ......... i plan to give this back to the RPF in what way i am unsure until i discuss with the staff the best way forward with this.
If you are a member here and you are a re-caster or sell recast item's or maybe even your new here and have plan's to become a recaster i urge you not to do it, the consequence's if and when caught are high and ..............
