Hey man, I'm new to the building process and I'm having a lot of difficulty sizing the helmet. I have a 22.5 inch diameter head, what scale do I use in pep designer? Are you selling your version of the IM helmet? Can I please buy one?

thanks... this is the file name we downloaded from somewhere (cant remember :confused)... Dubean33 - Sharkhead HD Iron Man Helmet v2.1 - Unfolded by Dubean33.pdo... please try to google it up... cheers!

Dude, i have been researching and working on my mark 7 armor for a few months now... Saving the helmet for last. I must say that this helmet has been done perfect! I have a few questions for you... Did you make any on the parts removable? (i never saw a picture with the faceplate off or the back) is this wearable? And do you have any advice for a noobish dude working on putting together his helmet?! awesome work man!

Through-out the build much attention were given to the faceplate (forehead curve and lower face curve)... need to get the correct shape that will bend the light correctly same as the movie... darn hard and tricky...:unsure

We widened the gap between the upper and lower lip since movie helm and other excellent helm has i think at least 2mm gap.

Then another details on the lower lip were given attention... I dont know if others noticed this but some of the movie shots showed a lining above the lower lip... so for the sake if being accurate on this feature, we also put it on our helmet... (though its noticeable that most IM Helmet builder does not put this lining)... oh well, maybe this will identify our helmet from the rest of the helmet out there... :lovehehe

This is a great thread! In the middle of my mk7 build and humbled by what I see here. Taking away some great ideas and advice on sanding, painting and electronics. Nice work and thanks for sharing!

can you make a little tutorial of how you make a mold and did the casting ?
