IronMan Mark 3 RIVET/PLASTIC SUIT

This looks interesting! What kind of plastic are you using? I used polystyrol in some parts of my foam armor. It is pretty sturdy but when bent to much, it cracks. Are you having trouble with that too or do you use a heat gun too?

I am using the ROUND smooth trash cans at Lowes or Home depot. They avg about $10 to $15 a piece....its a expensive way to build thats for sure. Yes I use the heat gun to bent, and no mine doesn't crack anywhere thus far.

Maybe you are right... and yes, I saw riveting already.
But I cant understand, chest and back is one whole part? Full arm is whole part? If it is - so how will you connect it? Thanks.
In my suit i use velkro and some buckels, like this - http://www.indiatrims.com/Buckles_stopper/Plastic_buckles.jpg so it very interesting to know, how did you doing it. Good luck! :cheers

Yea its the whole part and then you gotta customize it for detail. Yea I am going to use those buckles and velcro to keep the parts together. And thanks man! Its def interesting. Looking forward to completing it.

Its interesting to see the process! realy! and i want to see completed suit! your work is differs from other, because you take not standart materials - that why i wait for updates. :D so faster, faster!!! ))
Also its pleasantly to find new people from different countries, who made that same projects as you. In my country even Comicon does not conduct...

Nice work, do the rivets show in the final product or are they painted to match the rest of the suit?

This guy has his own helmet. And I personally let the pros at the helmets make them off here and I buy them from them. I have no time for all that sanding and molding.

First I plastidip the whole suit...then primer it with gray primer (2-3 coats of each) then I spray the whole suit GOLD!!!! Then I do a light coat of the metal gray paint you see in the paint and then coat it with the RED u see in the pic. Then I coat it with GLOSS CLEAR (2-3 COATS)...... IT LOOKS INSANE!!!!! Gives u a cherry apple look with gitter and shine. As u can see in the pic

HOLY MOLY)))):) you are crazy man:thumbsup
and its realy correct way to paint a suit - first gold, then - red, because in the movie gold parts its not a paint, its a color of gold-titan metall...
amasing work, dude! applauses!!:thumbsup

That doesn't look anything like the first suit you showed. The chest piece is from a different version, and the shoulders and arms look totally different. Is the painted suit just a reference picture?
