I would like to thank Darkside501 for this file It was the most simple file i've had. I'm new to this build and my second helmet I've made. First was the Ironman Mark 42/47/VIII (whatever the name is called :D) It has been the slowest build ever due to work. So here is what I've done, and today will test to see how resin reacts to this selitac foam. Hopefully it wont eat it up :( but will be testing on a small piece first of course.

This is the area that i had trouble with the two strips that goes on the side of the mohawk are came up short... :( don't know why?? oh wells a little bondo (when it gets to that stage) will fix that LOL

So I kinda of had problems with Air Bubbles and having a large spreader it did not help in tight spaces and didn't want to go to home depot in the rain :( the result..well..a whole lot of sanding to do :(

So i added the mohawk by drawing the lines with the old shape that had when cutting the foam pieces...

and of course **as not what to do (caking it on..)** and yes i did do it because i had to hold the foam template in place because it started to shift...

Result! Nice mohawk just need to a little more bondo in the areas that is needed..and some trimming to do on the edges to make it smooth...

Yes this is an amateur at work....so any good/bad criticism is always helpful..but little by little im working on it..LOL top to bottom. So at this point i need to have the mohawk perfect and smooth before i move down to the ears and face plate.

no bad criticism from me, we all started somewhere, one thing i picked up quick from my first ever helmet i made is less is more so build up the layers between rough sanding and spot fill.

also its easier to take away than it is to add.

all the best with this and dont give up! if i can offer more helpful words that dont sound like yoda give me a shout.

nope i meant what i said, if you have a high surface.. that can be cut away or sand HOWEVER if you brake a section off or sections dont meet, then you need to add bondo/resign then sand etc....

...maybe i should do a vid on this to explain it better.

also its really cool u got a dremmel, and i do swear by them, but you will need a mouse sander for the large open surfaces, not only will it save you time, but it will help make all the surrounding areas even........

Thanks!! yea i went over to my dads to get one but one of his friends took it for a bit..LOL because after sanding that mohawk.....my arms were done LOL
