hello everyone i am new and i want to make an iron man costume a mark 2 and up and i want to do the easiest one because i am only 12 abd i cant realy do all those like vacum forming although we gave one at school i cant use it and to say the truth i really dont know where to start i tried a pepakura but failed and shredded it so can anyone please help me

I'm 54 and have gotten great help just by following the thread on the IRON MAN PEPAKURA. Just click on one of the other threads and you will find all the help you need.

really the simplest way is pepakura, but in a way you have to have the most time for it. i recommend, start with a size tester of a helmet, just to get your pepping skills started, and then maybe a mid-def helmet. it will take a few days to finish, but slowly, and steady, it will come. this is nothing you can rush, because otherwise, you wont be happy with it :)

im building my war machine for 3 months now, and still have to finish a lot of pep work ( alltho i finished a batman sculpt, and had some university stuff and some moving to do, so with enough time, i could be further on by now, but thats besides the point)

also, be sure to use proper safety equipment. its so important, i cant even begin to tell you.
look for youtube vids, to help you on your buillding process, stealth(on this page) has a youtube channel (i think its called the stealth props) where he does a step by step tutorial from paper to finished product

Yeah, I have been on this site for almost a month now and this and the 405th.com are the best places to see how talented people are with resources, money and time. Pepakura is easy just time consuming for sure. Robo has the best files i've seen on here and with the pepakura viewer easy to get you can get started right away.

Other good sites to see how to DIY and use techniques that don't cost a lot of money and get the same good results are instructables.com, theeffectslab.com (a lot of good how to tutorials on that site), 405th.com, hackaday.com, build-stuff.com. The list goes on the point is that you should make sure you explore a lot of avenues for making your own apparatuses to get the effects your looking for without having to spend $$$'s or $$$$'s to have someone make it for you. Just going to take some time, research and determination. Doesn't matter how long it takes just as long as you finish bro. Good luck building
