Very nice job man. Thanks for sharing this,i think i'll try it to my helmet.thanks again, keep the great job!!!!!!!!!
The foam might be necessary just for comfort. I can imagine how wearing that for a few hours would start to feel like you're trapped in an iron maiden. :wackoA fan would be better but we're already pretty tight on space. Thin non conductive foam sheet would work but you don't want to seal it and end up trapping any moisture.
This thread is pure gold! :thumbsup I'm dreaming that my suit can look half a good as that!
Honus - where do you purchase most of your material, like servos and stuff like that?
my sources are digikey, hobbyking and dx.com for now, not sure if I'm missing out on really great eStores..
Got Greg in the suit today!

Looking forward to the full tutorial. Now that the project is complete, what do you see that will be changed or simplified on future builds?
Do you think you would offer kits, parts lists or even 3D files (for hing and custom parts set ups)?
Hey hey the Honus 2.0 model of the mark III. When do we start construction Jerome ??Knowing what I know now of course there are a few things I would change. I would probably build a single control board for the back that would clean up the wiring a lot. I don't think there will ever be any kits as it's not really practical- no two suits are the same so things like hinges and hardware will probably have to be custom built for each suit. There aren't any 3d files as everything was made by hand. There will be a complete parts list in the tutorial.
