Iron Man MK42 helmet pep

So I wanted to make the MK42 helmet and I found Gimpee's file. The model is perfect except for a couple of things that bothered me.

I changed the eyes to be more narrower, did some work on the lower jaw, added the groove between the eyes. Changed the position of the upper side teeth to be like the actual one.

It's my first unfold so sorry if there's some weird unfolds.
All credits to Gimpee for the file.

And here a newer file which has flat score lines and more reinforcements.

Excellent! Just printed this off. Hopefully speed build for next week. The pep looks easy compared to others i have seen! Well Done!

Very good, i have noted another defect in the Gimpee's file, in the rear skullcap the trapeze in bas-relief is absented. Despite this small defects, the Gimpee's file is actually the best 3D model:)

Managed to build it. The middle top section of the faceplace is a little difficult to attatch. Perhaps deeper eyes would help. The builds quite nice. also some cuts on the dome are squared off so it makes the ends quite straight edged. Perhaps longer lines? In all honesty watching the film the lines on the mask are extremely thin. Maybe you could take the grooves back out and just have a black line where they go to make the file easier? Resining it kinda takes out the grooves anyway. Of course these are just me looking for issues. The file in general is very good especially for a first. Anyone printing these off should adjust the threshold for the hide almost flat lines. As the pointed adge that runs across the side dont get printed by default settings.
Ill up some pics when bondoed. Just resined at the min

Nice, I've only completed half of the build, I still need to do the faceplate. Yeah I figured the faceplate between the eyes would be a bit hard to build 'cuz of the grooves. I'll look into it when I complete my build. I left the dome as in the original pep from Gimpee.
What scale did you print it?

Left it as default. Its nothing major but gives it a bit of a polygon shape. Im going to rondo the inside and sand the right off. Ill take a picture when I can

I've just finished building this pep and thought I'd show my results. I originally build Gimpee's file but it came out a little small so I wanted to rebuild another, so I gave this one a go.

Man was the faceplate hard especially between the middle of the eyes/forehead! The score lines were almost impossible! (Also took forever as I made it all without the pepakura program infront of me as I'm on a Mac)
I have to say, Gimpee's file was quite a bit easier to pep, but this file is more accurate, especially in the top cheek plate(?) that is attached to the faceplate, so :thumbsup to xevanx for that!

I uploaded some pictures below with a comparison as well to Gimpee's original (on the right)

I hope to move on to resin and fiberglass soon, but since I'm a noob at this, not too sure how to proceed. I have some other (kind of) W.I.P. threads that I'll be updating soon for all to see...and for advice ;D

Nice, I made a new version without the score lines and more support for an easier build.

Ooops, accidentally posted the same thing twice. Can Mods delete this second post please?
