Think I'm gonna switch back to PLA tomorrow. ABS always has little delamination spots during long print sessions. Usually beginning after the five hour mark. I have to admit, I like ABS for the acetone smoothing quality, but I'm trying to get longer print sessions going. I never have experienced any delamination with PLA.
Good thing I bought two rolls of each
Any thoughts?

I'm having bad de lamination with abs too. You can try raising the print temp, otherwise I'd just stick with pla. Lower temps, and no harmful odors. It's a winner!!

Got the parts to the faceplate together. Still a lot of work cleaning it up, but I'm happy. Think I'll start on the jaw tomorrow.

So, I got a little progress going. Got the jaw printed and working on the main portion of the helmet right now. I sprayed a little primer on the jaw to show the detail. It was printed in clear plastic, so they were hard to see. I also re did the rear portion, it was a little thin and brittle. Now it's nice and strong!

Well, I do have two, but I've been thinking about selling the lulzbot. It has a very large build platform, which was the reason I got it. But, man it is SLOW. I mean MEGA SLOW. Seems to be a better printer for a workshop than a home printer. It's really loud too. I'm much happier with the Replicator, even with the smaller print bed.
Not made of money, though :lol. Just had a nice tax return and took a chance, that's all. I'm glad I did.

Well, wish I had more time in the weeks to work on this. But, I do what I can, when I can. Just a small update:
Still tons of work to do. Just about finished with the detachable helmet piece. Still loads of sanding for the faceplate and main portion. And then, of course, the cute little ear pods!
I'll post more progress as soon as I can!
