I'm glad to have friends and RPF family like you guy's...:thumbsupWere your friends and neighbors amazed you made that out of cardboard?
There's another one coming! sorry its taking so long......Awesome vid Delray loved it!!!!
I thought that was neat!I like when you tried to fly, Jarvis didn't let you hahaha
Thankz, I appreciate that you can appreciate something that i've done! To me when you do something that you like or love, It has to be done right or it won't work. I can't take full credit for my build because i needed a spark too! Robo gave the gift, STEALTH gave me the insipration, I just did the work. It is a scratch build no doubt with no pepakura parts. Now the gif is everyone's.....War Machine is Next! -Delray:thumbsupJust read through this whole thread after it was brought to my attention by someone on stealths thread. I've hunted through hundreds of threads on this forum and I cant believe i havent seen this before. My jaw has actually hit the floor, i think i can honestly say this is the most realistic and proportioned suit i have come accross. For me this all started with TMP bringing the iron man idea into the limelight. I think you have come leaps and bounds since the TMP original idea. It seems you have taken their already perfect idea, and somehow made it even better. Im sorry to compare, both are phenominal builds but they were the original benchmark for me.
Its amazing how a build that has now become my favourite, started in your mind, that you have built this almost entirely from your own designs, incorporating your own methods and ideas. You have raised the bar for future builders dude. There are many fantastic builders out there, many amazing designers, and beautiful painters. But you have proven to excell in all areas. I cant give enough commendation for this build. My hat comes off to you sir.
:-O
Hey Delray... where did you get the LEDs and PCBs for your arc, repulsors, and helmet? Did you buy parts and piece them together yourself or disassemble some other electronics and cannibalized the parts?
Its coming I almost ready to show you guy's something. :loveHey Delray, any word on when ya gonna show us ya war machine build bra? :cool
It was a scratch build no pep files...I used mechanical drawing and stretch, fold and crush techniques on the cardboard. Its complicated if you aren't used to building in cardboard. 10 months and trial and error made that suit. I am building again using three mediums combined in one to build suits now. Especially for comfort and mobility. And they will be "top quality" in looks and detail also. I will film some stuff for "The Hero Tutorials" for STEALTH in a few weeks. Comb my thread it should have what you need there. Also there are a lot of veteran builders and some new guy's now that can help you here. just use what works for you and don't rush your build...Keep Building!....:thumbsup DelraySir Blackdynamo! Awesome work, I'm new to pep and costume building. I will be building my own suit in the future.
How did you modify the pep files for cardboard?
Oh, and I'm also excited to see the WM of yoursI will also build a WM, and I would like to witness how you do it
