Iron Man Mark IV - Pepakura, Fiberglass, Arduino and servomotors.

Very nice work and look at all of those electronics!!
I can't wait to see the finished product.

I thought the same thing about looking like Andrew Garfield. :cool

Hi there! I post this mysterious picture of excelvan glasses removed from their chassis.
I am gonna put a sort of artificial vision using a spy cam hidden lower jaw, and see outside through this 320x240 4:3 pixel system. All is analog, all works with a low fidelity AV in.
I am still waiting for the spy cam, as soon I have any result I will post!

And I should put some order in this thread. Pics are a real mess...

Haha that's awesome! I just ordered these last week with the same idea for my build, great minds think alike. Great build by the way. Are you going to use a raspberry pi with the glasses and camera? It would make a great central hub to control the arduinos and would make it easy as hell to have the movie style HUD. Keep up the good work it's very inspiring

Thank you man! Maybe in the future, I will develop a stronger system with a raspberry on board, in that case will be great to improve the screen with a full HD 5"display and a proper lens (there are some cheap) but at the moment I only work in analog way. Digital stuff is just and arduino, the easyvr shield and servos for back flaps and stabilizers.

I am gonna complete this thread wit some great pics, give me some more time and "I will finish what I have started..."

Hi there! I've just scored a new goal: a smart mod of my excelvan system, now is equipped with a working spy cam.

Now I can see through my faceplate, soon I will post a complete documentation, meanwhile I clean and update this terrible thread!

This is me seen from the visor lens

Ladies and gentleman, I am proud to show you a quick update: even if the easyVr shield is designed mainly for recognize commands, it is also able to playback some asynchronous sound samples.
This time I added some metallic sounds in combination with the opening and closing of the jaw/faceplate.

Enjoy!

Another small step: a former piece of code is now running and integrated in the newest part.
For non-italian speaking people, the commands are just "open" and "close".

Soon updates.
