I saw something on the news this past weekend about an exhibit at the MET Museum in New York, and they have the Mark II armor on display.

They also had a SpiderMan suit and some Batman ones, too. I may have to take a train ride up to check this out. Also, if anyone local can go and get pictures, that would be awesome!

There was a thread on this a few weeks ago. The MET won't let you take any pictures and they're pretty dang strict about it.

y'know.. i find that ridiculous.. I've taken pictures (without flash) in the louvre of the mona lisa.. and the security guards there said nothing.... I can understand if they get nasty if people rolled in there taking pictures with flash potentially damaging the "work of art" by fading the color - but I can't believe those security guards would get nasty over iron man...

what is the world coming to... sigh...

either way, i'll schedule a trip this weekend.. i'll see what I can do. worse comes to worse, I'll get pics of the security guards hand reaching for the camera :lol

If nothing else, please get some mental notes for me, I'd greatly appreciate it.

I noticed that one of the pictures on the official site show the finish on the abs actually pulling away from the surface, with a big air pocket in there. I'd just like to know if the hard armor has the same covering (a metallic film applied over the surface) or if it's a noticeably different material.

Is it just for that exhibit? I was there in October, and as long as my flash was off, I could take pics to my heart's content.
