IRON MAN Mark 4 and 6 Build - Video Update Page 6

Re: STEALTH's Iron Man Mark IV/VI Build

This is amazing, it has inspired me to start my own. What is the white backing that you've mounted the abs on?

Thanks for sharing the progress!

Re: STEALTH's Iron Man Mark IV/VI Build

Thanks. Should have some big updates soon now that I'm in the filler stage.

The Regard Stels, your work really good, from for your video I has solved to do its suit. Has Collected I from paperboard suit, got around to glassing the whole suit on the inside, and has outside covered the polyester resin, but don't care paperboard remained soft, what do hard? Strong? outside not to want to consolidate, will lose beauty. Beforehand thank you for help.

PS, excuse me for my english, I use through translator.

Re: STEALTH's Iron Man Mark IV/VI Build

Amazing work Stealth. I liked your page on Facebook as well and have been enjoying following your progress on this build and it's inspired me to look into starting my own work on some Iron Man armour as well. Pretty soon Canada will have it's own legion of Iron Men!

I've started work on some test pieces for sizing and what not and think I might try the cardboard route as you have as it would appear to be a bit sturdier then foam. If you don't mind me asking though, what did you use for your fibreglass phase? I'm in Moncton, NB so I'm assuming I'll have access to the same sort of stuff but was just curious as to what it was you used as it seemed to turn out really well. Also, nice idea with the pigment. That was a concern I had with regards to tracking what had been done and again you've proved to be innovative when it came to the work.

Looking to get back on track this week coming up. Just got really busy with some other stuff. Now it's all out of the way.:thumbsup

Re: STEALTH's Iron Man Mark IV/VI Build

Can anyone send me the files for the cardboard template of the mk 4?

Nice work bro! Keep up the amazing work... Hopefully soon I'll be posting pics of my markvii I've been building in cardboard for the last 12 months :). But most importantly, what do you bench? ;)

Re: STEALTH's Iron Man Mark IV/VI Build

Finally got around to sanding the Iron Man Mark IV Chest and Back.
Here's an update so far.
We're really eager to get back and work on this some more.

Got some more filling/sanding done.

Looking less and less like cardboard every day.

Just out of curiosity, did you B-Boy this cardboard before beginning the build?

Re: IRON MAN Mark IV Build - Video Update Page 5

Will you keep the abs as one solid piece or will the sections be made to overlap and allow flexibility for the wearer?

EDIT: abs is not meant to be an acronym, but shorthand for abdominal muscles

They're just going to be solid for as these are masters. Mobility in the stomach is not a concern as I want to keep the look. This isn't a cosplay. I don't need to really bend and such.
