Iron Man Mark 38 "Igor" WIP

Slow progress - the back is complicated and its difficult to work out all the bits:

I'll hopefully get some more done today.

Trying to simplify the crazy computer CAD imagery into something I can actually make with foam and plastic:

My least favourite bit. I just want to build and paint stuff. Planning is boring.

i just wanna say good luck with this, i saw the trailer and thought the hulkbuster armour got ruined. but i'm getting used to it now and i like how you are making this. any tips for me?? :)

I'm glad there isn't a limit on subscriptions, cause I am up to three pages, now! So many awesome builds... Keep up the great work! (Kickin' it old-school, no less!) :D

I managed to get some of the back pieces done tonight;

Also my first foray into two tone paint jobs- a dark blue base with a lighter metallic blue sprayed on top.

Just saw the game models have been ripped and looking at the MK 38 the collar/shoulders look a bit more defined and they are raised up just a little bit more.

Sorry for the Tiny Pics,just zoom in!:thumbsup

It was created by an artist called RGatt. It's a pretty cute little model, and the detail is wonderful. If you like that kind of model, Julius Perdana has posted several free paper models of "Iron Men" at paper-replika.com including the War Machine and mk38. He is currently working on the Iron Patriot. The detail is amazing. He even provides a little Tony Stark face to put in the helmet! :lol

These are production phtos from his blog. The mk38 and War Machine are completed, articulate models... Enjoy!
