That is super epic!! The stand kinda looks like the arc reactor, not sure if thats intended or not, but never the less, it looks pretty cool also just wondering, what materials did you use to make it? (The faceplate and the stand, might wanna mKe my own )
I used a 3D printer to print it out in ABS. I drew the arc reactor in Google Sketchup and then printed it out(about 15 separate pieces). The faceplate file I found on Thingiverse. It was pretty small so I scaled it up so that it would just fit on my printer(roughly 4" x 4" x 4"). I used acrylic for the tube that holds the face plate and super bright, cool white LED's for the center and ring. Red magnet wire is hand wrapped around each arc cap. Milk jug plastic was used for the eyes and it catches the light from the LED's. The whole thing stands about 6" tall.
Holy crap.. That sounds long and complicated, but pretty fun to make.. I am fairly new to the RPF and prop making, so... Might take a while... (Few decades or so )
