iron man faceplate molded, first casting, and ideas for something differant.

well i was going to make a full iron man helmet, but was having to manny problems with symetry, and decided to get pRoJectEarth7's awesome helmet kit, but still wanting to work on something, i went ahead and finished the faceplate for a cool display piece! then wanting to make something cool for my firlfriend, i decided to make a mold and cast her one, so i went and got some cheep silicone at michaels, and after about 10 layers, it was thick enough. so i poured a plaster mother mold and did the first casting in aquaresin and fiberglass matt. the first casting didnt come out that great, but instead of just throwing away a bad casting, i decided to battle dammage it! and now i plan on doing some more dammaged ones, and also some htemed ones! the only one ive got planned right now is a jason hockey mask version with the holes drilled and weathered up and painted like his mask. please tell me what you think and also some sugestions for other themed iron man faceplates!

That's actually pretty cool! Excellent way to save a bad mold. I'm digging it a lot, lemme know if you ever decide to an extra to recoup some of your cost. :thumbsup

I like the damaged one too. It would be neat to have a trophy wall of various style of face plates from Iron man suits over the decades.

Thank you all! The mold is actualy perfectly fine, it was just a bad first casting. But I think I like the damaged one better too, and it's deffinitley more fun to cut all the damage in and paint it compared to the clean paint on the other one! XD
I should probably say that there aren't any LEDs in them yet, jut holding it infront of an led flashlight xD

I'll probably be doing a run of these later on when I have some money to buy resin haha
