So I started this awhile ago and finnaly decided to put up a thread. This is my first time doing pepakura so its not the 'best' but I'm pretty happy so far. These are not my files. I thank everyone who made/unfolded and posted them!!!!

Heres what I have completed in pepakura: Test Helmet (2) (picture on me with out a neck), Helmet, Mark VI chest, and a neck.

I'll keep my progress posted...

Please tell me what you think,

Looking great man! Pep can be very discouraging during the resining stages but its worth it in the end!

Thanks guys! :D

Hoping to fiberglass the inside. I've been wanting to play with it on the test helmet but its been freezing outside.

You have to use more hardener with the resin when its cold, otherwise the stuff will stay tacky for days.

gah... tired of looking pepped iron mans. I think only 3% of people on here actually complete an Iron man costume after this point. Good luck dude.. I hope you become one of them.

Thank you, will do!

Haha, you actually pushed me to be so even more :) Thanks!

Just finnished a shoulder, though I'm still messing with it. About to work on the bicep to see if it needs resizing. It seems big, but im ganna hold off on the other and see.

I'll post pictures soon, I just got accepted to a graphic design college so will start there in January. That and the season.

EdwardKillum's Pep Tip #1: Make sure you the 'Show Edge ID' is checked before printing. I've made this mistake twice now. (If you look at my neck it has no numbers and was a PAIN to do.)

Thanks again everybody!!

So the shoulder I made does need to be sized down. I put up a picture of my right bicep so far. I really want to get the sizing right.

I do have a question...does anyone have any ideas on an arc reactor? I'm a college student so the less expensive the better. I was thinking of making my own using clear hard thick plastic (mabye a cutting board) and LEDs.

Thanks,

Here's the right bicept, shoulder, and elbow. They're just set ontop of each other, so look a little off. This is the shoulder I thought was too big, but now I think it's ok. Or it will be after I lift it a bit. :)

Pep'd so far: Test Helmet (2), Helmet, Neck, Mark VI Chest, left palm (not finished and too small), right shoulder, right bicep, elbow.
*Underline parts are ones not going to be used in the finished product.*

About to work on forearm, want an arm done tonight.

Tell me what you think :)

No reason you couldn't do a chest-RT for the armor (as opposed to a prop arc reactor - I'm presuming you want this for the chest armor, right?) using translucent-white plastic and a simple array of LEDs and appropriately-sized resistors on a board inside the armor. Ought to be simple and not too pricy to make. I may be doing just that for my step-daughter's Mk 6 suit (I'm like you re: cold-weather making it difficult to proceed past the pep stage at the moment - just got an inexpensive workshop heater from Home Depot, which ought to help).

Good luck!

Yepp for the chest. The only down side is this will be my first time 'playing' with boards and leds. If you have a thread on this please link? :)

Ok so I was pep'd out so I thought I'd do some test fiberglassing on my test helm. But before I could do that I wanted to make it look better and...well I never got to the fiberglassing haha :p
I know so of its 'off' (mostly the back) but that will hopefully be fixed. Here's what I did to it, also my real one to compare. I wont let me add it again so you'll have to scroll up to my very first picture on this thread. And I'll cut through the brow and below the eye after fiberglass so its all even (where the 'scar' is).
Let me know what you think.

Thanks,
EdwardKillum

No thread yet - my LEDs are on the way, I hope to start working on some repulsors and RTs within the next couple of weeks.

Hey Edward great progress. My only thing I have to say and I hope this doesn't bum you out to much. But the chin detail and ears on your build have been pepped incorrectly. The chin details are meant to lie flus with chin and the groove is indented... the ear detail aka those two ringed ridges should be inverted into the helmet.. the ear then pepped separately sits in that area.

These are easy changes since you haven't resined yet. Just my two cents.
